1. Your personal information is never sold or rented

Personal information is information that can identify you, such as your name, email address, or the financial data you enter in the app (expenses, income, budgets, and goals).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties, for any reason, at any time.

We only use your information to:

• Provide the service: create your account, sync data across devices, and display balances, budgets, statistics, and goals.
• Improve your experience: remember preferences such as language, currency, theme, and notification settings.
• Communicate with you about the service, support, or relevant updates.
• Analyze app usage (via a pseudonymous identifier, without your financial data) to improve stability and design.
• Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

2. Data we collect

We collect only what is needed to operate Spardose:

• Account: email, optional name, and securely managed login credentials.
• Financial data you enter: transactions, categories, budgets, savings goals, recurring items, and notes.
• Preferences: language, currency, country, theme, and notification settings.
• Technical data: device type, operating system, app version, and anonymous error logs for diagnostics.
• On the web: cookies and technical usage data (pages visited, time on screen) in aggregate, without personally identifying you.

3. Data we do NOT collect

Spardose does not connect to your bank or import transactions automatically. We do not access contacts, photos, microphone, or GPS location. We do not collect full card numbers: Premium payments are processed by Apple or Google.

4. How we keep your information safe

We apply industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), access controls, and secure storage practices. No system is 100% secure; use a strong password and do not share your account.

5. Service providers who process data for us

We share information with third parties only when necessary to operate the service, under confidentiality obligations consistent with this policy:

• Supabase: authentication, database, and encrypted storage of your information.
• Vercel: web application hosting.
• PostHog: usage analytics and error reporting. It receives screen events and a pseudonymous user identifier; we never send it your amounts, notes, email, or other personal data.
• Google: when you choose to sign in with Google, it processes your authentication.
• Apple App Store and Google Play: Premium subscription processing and billing.

6. Access, correction, deletion, and communications

You have the right to know whether we hold information about you, access it, correct inaccuracies, and request deletion.

You can export your data from the app and delete your account at any time. If you request deletion of your personal information, we will remove it from active systems within 30 days. Backups and technical logs may retain residual data for up to 12 months, or as required by law.

To exercise your rights, email contact@spardose.app from the address linked to your account with the subject line "Spardose Privacy".

You may opt out of promotional communications by replying "unsubscribe" to any marketing email or contacting us at the same address.

7. Legal basis and retention

We process your data to perform our service contract (our Terms of Use) and based on your consent when you sign up. We retain information while your account is active. After deletion, we delete or anonymize data except where law requires retention.

8. Technical information and cookies

We use privacy-focused analytics (PostHog) to understand how Spardose is used (screens visited, usage events, and error reports) and improve performance and stability. These events are tied to a pseudonymous user identifier, but we never send your amounts, notes, email, or other personal data to analytics. Automatic click capture and session recording are disabled.

On spardose.app we use essential cookies for site operation and saved preferences (language, theme). You can manage cookies in your browser settings.

9. International transfers

Your data may be stored and processed on servers outside your country, including the United States and the European Union, depending on our providers' infrastructure. By using Spardose, you consent to these transfers with applicable contractual and technical safeguards.

10. Children

Spardose is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor provided data, contact us to request deletion.

11. Subscriptions and stores

Spardose Premium payments are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store full card numbers. Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the relevant store policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version will be posted on this page with the update date. Continued use of Spardose after material changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
